Can I import dried seafood to Canada?
2024.08.06

Canada has very strict regulations on imported goods, especially food items. Dried seafood is among the most frequently inquired about items, although the CBSA (Canada Border Services Agency) has not officially listed them on the prohibited list. However, items such as shark's fin, citrus peel, and bird's nest are all banned from importation.

Wilcan has over 30 years of international relocation experience, and we do not recommend that customers attempt to ship dried seafood, as this may cause delays in customs clearance. The items may also be confiscated, fined, taxed, or leave a negative record at the customs.
